Been thinking about this for awhile, finally had some time between cons/making costumes/other work stuff to do it. A mash up of two of my favorite games of all time, Borderlands & Dragon Age (more precisely, Dragon Age characters done in the style of Borderlands…what can I say, that game has style).
(from left to right)

Fenris (Zer0, assassin): Their color schemes are similar, plus the hilarity of Fenris expressing himself with “grumpy” emoticons and in haiku was too good to pass up. Also he’s been branded by the Teviniter Corporation„,

Isabela (Moxxi/Scarlett)- Mostly based her design off of Moxxi, but stole Scarlett’s hat, because it’s a fabulous hat. I covet that hat.

Anders (Siren-Angel)- Mostly based on Angel’s outfit- but adapted to a male design (also since he’s at least partially controlled by something, it works). He’s also got Angel’s tattoos, though he’s a little obscured.

Varric (Salvador, GUNZERKER)- This was too perfect. Bianca works well as a gun/bow too, the fact that she’s absurdly large works great for Borderlands. I’m thinking she’d definitely be a legendary weapon, maybe a Jacobs or a Vladof?

Shale (Ellie)- This worked out a lot better than I thought it might. Shale/Ellie are a good match, though mixing them was kind of tough as Shale doesn’t actually wear clothing. Kept Ellie’s coveralls, but left Shale’s torso exposed (so rocky golem boobs…possibly nsfw?)

Zevran (Mordecai)- I had a harder time with the older characters (DAO) since their character design is less distinctive than the DA2 characters. Used his green armor from the second game for this reason.

Leliana (Gaige, mechromancer): Since Gaige is the only character with a skirt, she was a good match for Leliana. Since she’s not terribly distinctive, gave her chantry symbols and coloring from her armor from Leliana’s song.

Aveline (Brick, Axton’s leg armor)- Used Brick’s vest from the first game with Aveline’s starter colors. Thought she’d work well with Brick.

Morrigan (Siren, Lillith/Angel’s hair): Since Morrigan’s the most distinct character from DAO, her design was fun to transform to a Borderlands version. Mostly went off of Lilith’s design (and her tattoos) from the first game- especially since she has a pseudo skirt that could be reminiscent of Morrigan’s outfit.

Merill (Siren, Maya)- Merill’s outfit actually translates really well to something like Maya’s combat outfit. Changed her tattoos to be similar to the dalish tattoos she already has. I have thoughts on her class mod too.

Bethany (Tannis, Siren-Steele)- Used Bethany’s warden outfit instead of her starter outfit- works well with Tannis. Based her tattoos on Steele’s tattoos from the first game.

Sebastian (Axton)- Sebastian was kind of tough because he’s so clean, but his color scheme actually works pretty well with Axton’s outfit (or a modification of it). Moved Andraste’s Face to his shoulder patches instead of on his belt (so he can actually sit down).

Bodahn/Sandal (Marcus/Scooter)- Bodahn to Marcus was an obvious choice, Sandal was a lot harder (catch an enchantment?).

Alistair (Roland, Commando): Had to include Alistair, hopefully he’s somewhat recognizable. Based his armor on Roland’s armor from the first game (just made it slightly pointier), and the colors on the Blood Dragon armor (since it’s easily the most recognizable armor in DAO).

Dr. Wynne (Dr. Zed, Siren): This came out awesome! Josh suggested it, so he gets credit. Mixed Wynne’s mage-y robes with Zed’s doctor’s coat and did a combo of the colors. Also gave her the requisite Siren tattoos.

The Arishok (Krieg) : The Arishok is sort of an ambiguous ally in DA2, so matching him with Krieg seemed reasonable. They make a terrifying combo.

Meredith (Bad Maw, nomads) & Her Midget Mages (Orsino, random mages): Yes, it’s kind of a meta joke to have mages strapped to her shield, but it was too funny. She’s kind of stout, so mixing her with Bad Maw seemed reasonable and amusing.

Flemeth (Handsome Jack): Soooo creepy. Soo fabulous.

Dragon Flemeth (The Warrior): This one was almost as fun as Flemeth Jack- I like dragons. Mixed the design of dragon Flemeth with the Warrior’s golem-esque qualities.
